A Credo Of A Poet-Seer Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

A Credo Of A Poet-Seer

Let there be Thought
And the Thought unveils
Looks to the foundations of the All:
There begin
Despite Evolution's siren calls:
Discovery, Thought, Discovery,
Literature-Word, and the Rest
Civilization into Verses compressed
For I have a Credo of no Credo
All the Assertion assert it be
Freedom-liberty to assert All
Assertion in itself be
Now I assert this, now that,
No program
No ties, no knots, no conventionalities,
No dogmas,
Not Civilization hard and fast, but relative
And Civilization to Newer Civilization
Pass with more Time with more Velocity.
This, my Monsignor, my Credo of no Credo.
