You nurture an ambition
Of becoming great;
You cherish the hope of
Helping the poor;
You decide to bring up your children
In the best of traditions;
And you plan for a life
Full of events…
Alas! Then comes a gale
That rocks and uproots
The tree of aspirations
To fall flat
On the bosom of Time.
Some thougthts here I and many others would find significant from own lives good work
Dear sir, a heart touching poem, do plz think possitive & be optimisic because God is great.I had been teaching eng.lit.before, a houselady now but great fond of reading poems.
Man's greatness lies not in being but in doing! Notwithstanding the 'gale' one must overcome the 'Crushing Blow' and progress with HIS grace!

I would like to translate this poem
True indeed - that 'man proposes and god disposes'. Ten points again.
