A Cry To The Sky Poem by njiri wambui

A Cry To The Sky

Rating: 5.0

Your scent follows me menacingly
Giving me that feeling so tingly
Slowly you kill me with that smile
Like a venom so strong and vile

Sad it is that you belong to her
Her long hair on you like a bumper
Soft and silky skin i suppose
But to me many questions pose

If only, i had not taken the time
This green-eyed monster would not be as bitter
My sweet precious time now haunts me, turned to lime!
Perhaps all good thing do come at a fee

'Good things'did i rejected claim
When my happiness and joy is now maimed
How i long for those words to me be true
Then to you would I not be stuck like glue

Till then, that reality slaps hard
I live in this daze of longin so mad
you, my sweet obssession, run to your maam
I pray she knows, a jewel she's got!

oooooou, a poem of longing, envy and the harsh reality of jealous love. Oh how we do make mistakes at times in our lives only to regret them later. Very well expressed, one can feel the resentment build throughout, an excellent write indeed.
