A Love So Foul Poem by njiri wambui

A Love So Foul

Take away the pain that burdens, of a love that is so hardened
Of a filling joy, that is all so coy
This continous heartbreak that will on one dawn, break
a non-so existent love, my emotions must solve

Taste the bitter-sweet honey
better than any money
And the pain with which you sting
fills me with the pleasures of a king
The hand with which you slap
gives me the power to my wings flap
The moment the teeth bite
My body floats like a kite

Your pain and hard shove
to me is the gentle touch of a glove
When to another you smile
my heart to a million pieces melts
All the emotions that you cause pile
only to gush out in a million jets
Oh and the simplest frown
gets me to a dashing brown

Harsh words from you
have a way in turning the heart blue
Your walk and talk filled with grace
To this soul mercifully embrace
Woe unto my feet that recoil
at the very soil on which you step
It is to this poor soul...
That i write of a love so foul

Love can really be foul. Love does stink at times yet we find it almost impossible to be without it. You have put it so well and vividly it feels real. Its like some bitter sweet symphony. This is a marvelous piece. I love it. very impressive. Regards, Wangui Mukiri
