A Day Near The Green Woods Poem by Muzahidul Reza

A Day Near The Green Woods

Rating: 5.0

A day near the green woods
Where wild birds build nests
Sing in sharp tunes,
Wild branches roar in the crazy winds;

Squirrels play hide and seek all times,
Monkeys scream in restless voices,
Gazelles run being chased by foxes,
Vultures look for dead bodies;

Poor wood cutters seek breads,
Honey collectors chase the bees,
Visitors seen fear of wild beasts
As sounds strange the wilderness;

On the mat of the soft grasses
Swinging in the crazy winds
Singing with wild birds
With natural pleasure and happiness
I also want to pass
A day near the green woods,
Living in hard concrete house
Sometimes urgently I wish.
