A Day's Advice Poem by Hamsa Elfarash

A Day's Advice

I was about to fly,
Up in the sky,
But it wasn't that jocund day,
So I had to stay.

'What did I do? ' I exclaimed,
'I just want a happy life,
And you're offering me a knife,
What is that named? '

'Oh, look who's talking? ! ' Replied my day,
'You've put me in totall darkness,
And you're acting as a princess?
Well.. Listen to what I'll say.'

I know.. You're deeply ashamed,
And you turned your back to the past,
So you've got a chance that stayed,
But be careful.. It's the last.

Try to make use of it,
To colour in your mind and draw,
An awesome life with a little bit,
Of things that come and go.

Life won't stop,
Dance and hip hop,
Go and fly,
Up so high!
