A Delightful Day Poem by Bryan Taplits

A Delightful Day

The air was clear, the skies were blue
The wind was at my back,
My worries did not exist
No thoughts of what I lacked.
The birds were out this Spring
I heard them gaily shout.
I fell in love with life again
Again I had no doubts.
My life I looked and saw it clear
Delights from hi to low
Unfortunately,
It happened to me
Forty years ago.
