Welcomed Gallows Poem by Bryan Taplits

Welcomed Gallows

Rating: 5.0

A cloud came out, the sun went in
More drizzle was my life
I prayed then hoped-but just got rope-
My heart: All slice and diced!
My memories both spun and tied-
I thought you were to blame-
But still I sigh-
My heart a hangman's noose-
Yes, I love you just the same.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

A forceful short poem. But the revelation at the close is " My heart a hangman's noose- Yes, I love you just the same"… great! Loved it.
