A Desperate Girl Poem by Ashley Davis

A Desperate Girl

Rating: 4.0

Try to see it in my eyes
The pain you didn't realize
You criticize me for who I am
Since I am not an innocent lamb.

Crying out to get you to see
That this is really me
My waters are dirty and never will be clean
If you could only see what I have seen.

So many questions but i'll never get my answers
Going around being a great dancer
Dodging the troubles you can see in my eyes
Judging all your disgusted sighs.

Smile little girl its gonna be alright,
Even though you stay up and cry all night.
