A Desperate Plea - Poem by Henrik Zar Nonaas

I feel numb when I let go
When I open up to your distant call
You pull me away from my misery, you delay
In your arms I feel safe, when you caress me
Let the pain drift on, never let me see my reflection
Because I delude myself, I burn and I shudder

Like a poisonous stream you flood my veins
A vulturous serpent in disguise, you break
In my head, there's a war without an end
Delegate lies are my friends and without them, my demise
Keep her safe, keep me sane
