A Diet Of Many Fruits Or One? Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

A Diet Of Many Fruits Or One?

Rating: 5.0

not a single poem do I ask you to read
neither to plant nor burn fruit seed
here are apples oranges peaches plums
kiwifruit passionfruit purple grapes
here blackberries blueberries raspberries
strawberries cranberries gooseberries
eat fruit raw or spiced served in pies
pastry casing sweet savoury crumbles

here honeydew rockmelon watermelon
nature’s free gifts enough to sink a galleon
but first you must toil plant many seeds
diverse cultures tastes all agriculture feeds
yes vitamins minerals all are in bananas
but God’s gift is multiplicity many choices
