A Dream For Vultures (2003) Poem by Lillian B. Rose

A Dream For Vultures (2003)

Rating: 5.0

From the desert of vultures
To the breeze of a summer's day
I felt you walk by me

Which are you - young man
A destroyer watching me self-destruct
Or a gentle wave lapping at frozen toes

You were both to me
As you walked by
An ending and a dream

The painfully battered and brokenhearted
Pats out the missed beat to none
As a heart struggles to matter

For what matters heart
When logic invades like a cold sinter storm
And another chance of love has passed me by

Another chance of love has passed. Struggling in the way of love is definitely and amazingly expressed here.10
