A Dream's Completion Poem by Nicole Anne Sia

A Dream's Completion

As a kid I always dreamed very high
As though my dreams could touch the sky.
But now, unsure of achieving my dream
Fearing things won't go as they seem.

Clueless am I, as fear anticipates.
Abort mission? I hesitate.
If I give up now, I'll lose everything,
Waste a beginning, regret in the ending.

What to do now? Never agitate.
What to do next? Never anticipate.
For fear and doubts are brothers, indeed -
Kill what you want, you have, you need.

Believe in yourself; trust your self-worth;
For it brings success from heaven to earth.
Never cram, never rush
That leads to downfall, your dreams left crushed.

Strive a bit harder, reach for your goal
Your acts prove what you've written all in all.
Have confidence in dreams for it brings you
To a haven where success brought you to.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Written in October 2014. We had an activity in school of writing a poem on how to attain success. So I thought of writing a poem on how to complete one's dream. ;)
