A Driven Heart Poem by Matthew Fowler

A Driven Heart

Young man, dont be scared.
For the night is not eternal.
The dawn will come.
You cannot the stop the sun from shining.
So young man, dont be mad.
For we all must face the day.
Face it proud, show him nothing.
For if you keep your way.
The night will come again
The crescent moon hear his pain.
But Apollo was to powerful.
Artemis will have to wait.
He must face it, so he does.
His heart stands ready.
For the searing day.
Not even the sun can stop,
a driven heart.
It can crush mountains.
Stop tidal waves.
Within himself he finds power.
For he faced the day.
