A Drop Of Water Poem by Sharad Rajimwale

A Drop Of Water

Rating: 5.0

Let me be a drop of water
sitting on the edge of a green leaf
complete in itself- -
well-rounded, transparent
reflecting the limitless universe
and revealing the inner world
all at once.

Let me be a drop of water
reposing on the edge of a green leaf
after the fury of rain-storm pelted it down,
now it settles in its fragile existence
in full knowledge
that any time another gale
will end its life
or, even if nothing happens
it will just tumble
to its end
splitting into countless
tiny globules
of its own self.

Satisfied in this wisdom,
let me be that drop of water
sitting on the edge of a green leaf.

Nicely conceptualised and presented poem using drop of a water as a metaphor. Thanks. it will just tumble / to its end / splitting into countless tiny globules / of its own self / let me be that drop of water

Yo! I am left with nothing besides picture of the drop of water at the tip of a leaf, really I can see the reflection of things there, even my own reflection. Thanks for sharing.10!
