A Dying Patient's Window Poem by james watkin

A Dying Patient's Window

Life's left with impression
Through this, its last view?
A trickster magician's
Show of light, askew?

Just then, upright in bed
Startled, wept for bliss:
'That bird, divinely sweet
No illusion is! '
