A Faith And Truth Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

A Faith And Truth

Rating: 3.9

The marauders shook the faith
Killed thousands to death
Razed the shrine to the ground
Never to be heard or found

We are proving idiot
It was work of zealot
We have to think a lot
Why acrimony for years to be fought?

Many mosques are razed
They all look helplessly as dazed
Not a murmur or shedding of tear
Why so much pain and agony now to bear?

We are bringing back the clock
The monster gives knock
One evil act does not not justify
How another can also satisfy?

How knows the truth under barbarism?
Who can see clearly in mirror or prism?
It is fallacy under which we live
We must seek way and believe

The faith builds the nation
We need no equation
Let billions worship without tension
There should be no uncharitable mention
