A Feeling Never Left Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

A Feeling Never Left

Once upon a lonely feeling
In the wake of a restful, peaceful dreaming
A fragrance lingering there, within
Wishing a dream would never end

Before each day, Mine Heart of mine
Though may arise, then slowly die
Instills, soever and divine
Remains for thee a love for, Thine

Alas a stone, sweet words, of rest
When the church bells ring, an hour passed
Once the sun has finally set
Has come the final end of loneliness
