A Fervent Kiss Poem by THEODOROS MANTAS

A Fervent Kiss

Tears fall on the earth, the moon is crying!
Its soft yellow color is turning into black
because we have added to it blood.
The distance of darkness
is not anymore a safe sanctuary for it.
Humans failed to understand the melody
of the universe...the black hole of greediness
swallows even the silence of the night,
the blue of the oceans and the yellow of love.
And where the sun is going to fall asleep?
A woman is crying, her love is dying...
the moon is hidden from her heart,
her body was set aflame by a dark burning pain.
A rose is not brightening the dusk garden
the stars will not dazzle till dawn
birds will not roam our helpless sky.
Tears fall on the earth, the moon is crying
but love has no boundaries...a fervent kiss
is the answer.
