A Few Days Can Make A Short Wick

A FEW DAYS CAN MAKE A SHORT WICK

I just wanted you to know
How much I've enjoyed our time together

But I reached an impasse
How to define how much

Is it a matter of height, width or depth?
A matter of wealth or weight?

I've enjoyed our time together
As much as 50 pounds of trout?

Certainly it can't be a number
Much would have to step aside for many
Then we would have to ask how many what?

But would I have enjoyed you less
If we had spent more time together?
Or would I have enjoyed you more
If we had spent less time together?
Don't they amount to the same degree?

You can see these impasses are formidable
Enough to make you lose your sense of enjoyment

By now you're probably taking issue
With my taking issue with all this

If that's how you're going to be
I don't have to take this lying down

You can just take the time we spent together
And stick it in your ear

How much?
All of it!
