An Old Yin And Yang Sonnet

AN OLD YIN AND YANG SONNET

For every Isaac there is an Ishmael
All the wheels go round and round
Eventually they come to full stop or fall off
Fire warms our bodies, cooks our food,
Burns our house down, for the love of God
For every Jacob there is an Esau
Ancient mariners all born to curse the sea
Hungry birds of prey all sworn to cruise the sky
Little owl greets the night: welcome to the big so what
To think evil about evil is the folly of fauna
Why bother if you're only here for the nonce?
Or as they say, honi soit qui mal y pense
Inquisitions remain not limited to Spain
For every Abel there's always a Cain

It has a rollicking gait, a carnivalesque flair.
