A Few Lies About The Owls And The Wise Poem by Bryan Atneosen

A Few Lies About The Owls And The Wise

Rating: 5.0

You've heard it, or said it, 'Old men look like owls…
full of patience and virtue…so wise'
But the similarity is actually quite shallow
A mere resemblance of the eyebrows and the eyes

While the owl's talents and appearance are impressive
Man's only commitment, is that he grow old
Old enough to grow frowns and bushy eyebrows
Wisdom's not required…or so I'm told
