A Few Years - Poem by Sakib Choudhury

A few years a go we were kids
Nothing to worry about
Only when our next meal comes
How to pass time
Back then time use to stay still

A few years later we were teens
Starting to realize the responsibilities
That our forced upon us
What to do for the future
time use to go by steadily

a few years further we our now adults
the world and its problems on our heads
how do we afford my next meal
can we pay the rent this week
now time seems to fly by

a few years into the future we are now old
only one thing to worry about
when will our day come
what answers can we give
where will I end up
the place where we are going
has no concept of time
