A Little Bump Poem by Sakib Choudhury

A Little Bump

There she is standing infront of the mirror
lifting her shirt slightly above her stomach
looking at her little bump that has developed
tenderly caressing her stomach all over

she has a beautiful aura around her
illuminating the room we are in
but I can see the creases on her forehead
for it seems like she has some concerns
about what the future may hold
for this little world we have created

seeing her standing there the way she is
I cant help but be mesmerised by her
not able to believe my good fortune
that she is really here with me
with me of all the people in this world

just seeing her standing there that way
not able to withstand the distance between us
I wrap my arms around her in an embrace
with my hand touching her stomach
letting her know what she means to me
without needing to say a single word

she turns towards me to embrace me in turn
melting into me to become one complete entity
slighty lifting her head as I tilt mine to meat hers
at that moment nothing in this world mattered
and then instant without any warning my eyes open
