If a foreign clod
Be found here
Pierced within,
My weary skin-
How harmful
A rusted thorn
Or sharpened blade
Seems,
It will not thrive.
Take it out
From my pores
If you will,
For objects causing pain
Leaves a sensation
Of retribution
And refrain
Heard
From the grave.
