A Friend Poem by Randy McClave

A Friend

A friend just sees your smile
They'll see you walk down the isle,
They have been with you a while
Walked with you maybe a mile.

A friend gives you assistance
They usually give very little resistance,
With you they've walked the distance
They are thankful for your existence.

A friend is a supporter
Sometimes nosey and inquisitive as a reporter,
They are your brick and mortar
They'd give you their last quarter.

A best friend though sees your pain
They see your tears in the rain,
Unto you they are free to complain
Behind your smile they see the sprain.
