A Friend Poem by Lacey UnKnown

A Friend

Rating: 3.4

They hear my voice, shattered and weak
But they just don't listen for fear of me
They see my face, distraught with pain
But they only ignore me and just turn away
If only they could see the simple things I need
An ear to listen to my troubled voice
A shoulder to rest my tired face
A friend, is that too much to ask?

I love this poem! It shows how little people ask... but how hard the task seems.
