A Frozen Angel Poem by Margo Reid

A Frozen Angel

I saw you stand there in a tall glass, full of solid ice
Masculine Figure full and wonderfully nice

I’ve wonder what have happen to you
Eyes so cold and so blue

With your hands reached up by the glass
You were in your own little class

You look so weak
I can see your frozen eye drops on your cheek

The rose cherry color on your lips
Not a frown or a smile
Even your wings drape down to your hips
I just stand there staring at you for a while

He stood in a strange way
Asking for help in silence and in pain
I cannot let him stay like this for another day
I will let him live freely again

It took me hours to break the ice
He was out by the end of the night
What I have done was very nice
His wings started to shine so bright
Full with life once again
The pale skin was gone
And there was no more pain
And Now He can really move – on

Never to stay in that condition another day
He’s free to go his own way
