A Fulfilling Sense Poem by Bishnupada Sethi

A Fulfilling Sense

Under the clear open sky
While countless stars gazed quietly
And were pouring their energy kindly
In the midst of unknown people
Unmindful of others' existence
We met as two breathing shadows.

Two heated minds
Both the charged bodies
Talked in the ancient language
Of intimate bonding.

The story had begun
At first of our meetings.
A timeless hidden spark was in the waiting
Till then to ignite.

Two homeless wandering souls
Separated by the long spell of time
Place and birth
Fell for each other
At their first sight.

No one will name this story ever
As we couldn't be writing anywhere.
The love will simply evaporate in the air
Like the dews on the green leaves
And the cover of night's darkness
And our footprints in the avenue.

We live with our feelings
The most precious treasures hidden inside.
The fervour of our love is a fulfilling sense.
It prompts a perpetual smile on our lips.
The eye winks uncover
The beautiful islands of our hearts
Only discovered by both of us.
