A girl stood forgotten
Waist deep in the snow
Her lips had turned blue
Her eyes never closed

Her face had turned ashen
No rose in her cheeks
Her heart had stopped beating
She could only seep

You see, she had lived in a village
Her father had gone off to war
Her mother had heard the sirens
So her family travelled somewhere far

The storm had never quite passed by
The snow was several feet deep
She lossed her mother to the coldness
All she could do was scream

The girl had run out of cries
For the air was far too cold
The storm, it had no mercy
So the snow continued to fall

A girl stood forgotten
Waist deep in the snow
Her mother stood somewhere, frozen
Her father had never returned
