A Good Day Out Poem by Samantha Wallace

Sunshine on faces with no rain in sight,
Butterflies and birds all dancing in flight,
Flowers ablaze in a rainbows delight,
And trees full of leaves with kids flying kites.

Giggling of children and the chirping of birds,
Gentle soft music with uplifting words.
The sight of new lambs grazing in herds.
A choir of worshippers with arms stretched upwards.

The smell of a barbeque filling the air,
With family and friends all gathered to share.
Peace abounding from neighbours who care.
And a thankful heart from answered prayer.

No worries to brood on and no bills to pay,
A good nights sleep giving energy to play.
A heart full of hope, come what may.
And a willingness to always pray and obey.

These are a list of my favourite things
That gives me joy and makes my soul sing.
It's the added spark from these extra trimmings.
That for me a good day out brings.
