The Languages Of Love Poem by Samantha Wallace

The Languages Of Love

Do you know the different languages
That speak of love so true?
The kind you show to others and
The one that's shown to you.

We each speak a different language,
We are all just not the same,
There may be times we don't feel loved,
Which is often quite a shame!

For it may not mean that we aren't loved,
They just speak a different way,
And when love is miscommunicated,
It speaks more that what you say.

So for you ignorant folk out there,
Allow me to address,
These many languages to learn
For your love to be a success.

There's the language of touch,
For those that need a hug,
They like to often hold your hand,
To feel that they are loved.

There's one that's shown in quality time,
That needs to feel you're there,
Doing things together,
That makes them feel you care.

There's those that like to hear the words,
The praises and ‘I love you's,
To hear your love said out aloud,
Affirming them to you.

Acts of service is another one,
That speaks of love so true,
To help you when you're in a jam,
And do all sorts of jobs for you.

The last language you will find,
That will give you all a clue,
Is the one that likes to buy a gift,
Or to receive one just from you.

Try to interpret your language,
To let your partner know,
And if you do the same for them,
You will find your love will grow.

For as you speak a love they feel,
You will soon discover,
When someone feels that they are loved,
They become a better lover!
