A Grace And Pity Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

A Grace And Pity

Rating: 4.0

I stayed in oblivion
Innings over and was back to pavilion
Nothing much left was to be done
Everything was over and gone

Wept for months over the demise
She had taken lot many promises
“ I shall continue to rise and rise”
“ not to be upset, remain alert and wise”

It went on reminding for the days
Life was proving in difficult ways
I was knee deep in her memory
That was the main cause of worry

Every moment was making me sad
I was feeling lonely and bad
What was left for me in this lovely land?
Land was scattered in particles and sand

It was coming in hand as whole
Slipping away and searching the soul
What did she mean for all those words?
Why did she say to look forward?

Her words rang in ears like music
Her departure at this stage was tragic
She meant so much for my survival
I had to make efforts for her memrory and revival

There was no use for sheddig the tears
They were proving as worst fears
I was feelig her absence and it was so much to bear
The whole cycle was disturbed and going out of gear

I must come out of isolation and start
A new life with mission to be a part
Not to sty away from reality and part
This was to be a good beginning to feel smart

She loved music and birds
I loved to watch them now onward
I used to stare for hours together and think
It was takeing me deep but not to sink

She was there for all purpose
She may appear before eyes and depose
I found the ways to bring her back
There was so much to do and at stake

There was no confusion
I was elated with infusion
There was treandous scope to bring her to life
After all she proved to be a very good wife

She used to appear appear at pen end
As if I was her companion and friend
I was deicting her every move
It was noble attempt for my side to prove

I wrote and rewrote some verses
There were drawbacks and misses
It was finally getting the pulse
Everything was taking shape in sense

The poetry is not all about imagination
It has fine feeling with narration
It comes as sacred devotion towards almighty
What are we today without His grace and pity?
