A Gray Sky - Poem by Amelia Hammond

Looking through the window
For my life
Seeing that everything
Comes and goes
The feeling of being lost
Wanting to be found
Never finding what I have lost
But know it's all gone
Not being a single soul
Watching all those eyes never find mine
Always alone in this pitiful world
Nothing but me and the tears
Running freely from these eyes

Sometimes what we are looking for is right in front of us.
    A great poem.
