A Heartbroken Facade Poem by Tondalaya Jefferson

A Heartbroken Facade

Who are you?
Who am I?
Who are the people we're trying desperately to deny?
Are you a king?
Am I a queen?
Labels and titles what does it all mean?
I walked in
and you walked out
Love and trust were all negated by doubt
So here I sit alone and heart broken
So many words said and even more unspoken
The more I saw u the more I yearned
And it took some time but now I've learned
Everyone you meet isn't always who they seem
And though the memories fade ur still alive in my dreams
Now no place to go and nothing to do
One thing you should know
I still love you

I love this poem and the way you have put the rhythem into the verses. Broken hearts seem to come naturally these days, but you're young and will have many more lovers before the real thing comes along. Good Luck, Your friend Lynn I rate your poem a ten mainly because of the rhythemic lines.
