A Holiday Poem by Liam ó Comáin

A Holiday

An idle wave
unfurls on the beach
as I tread
the sunburnt hills.

In the distance
lies Mullaghmore
and little boats
shrouded in haze.

A seal bobs
above inlet waves
as sea birds trace
a dredger.

Rock falls in ridges
to the sea where
I unlock the door
of a holiday home.
