We are called upon by the children of the world,
To save them from their despair,
We are chosen by God to repair broken lives,
To let them know someone still cares,
When Christ was born that night below the stars,
A place of rest was needed,
For Mary and Joseph and the child within,
It didn't take much to please them,
A home is a place where love resides,
With structure, safety and peace,
A home is a place where confidence dwells,
Where patience and concern never cease,
We are shepherds for God and the children of the world,
With our arms open so far,
To embrace each fallen child with our love and our strength,
To inspire them to reach for the stars.
