A Hymn Of Buoyancy - Poem by Paul Amrod

Casting my blues away I lose all my anxiety
Casting my fears aside I find a new sobriety
Wiping my tears away I smile filled with felicity
I am a carefree soul, I have gained through my simplicity
Dispose of the rickety routine aiming for something amusing
Turning my back against the wind pulling my collar over my sleeve
Playing the King of the Road smoking a cigar on the hallowed eve
Seeing the artist on the streets of Paris with his colored oils oozing
Feeling my groovy motion like a Sunday's laisse faire
with a breeze through the summer's airs.
As still as a stalking thief I have the slyest fox in my sights
and I let him wander through the mist of a dreary night.
Soothing all the woes of Nature chasing out the misery
Casting my blues away I lose all my anxiety
Casting my fears aside I find a new sobriety
Don't ever harbor hatred, stay aloof from it
Keeping tolerance sacred keeping the roof on it
Let the cynics murmur their horrific apathy
Holding on to the premises of metaphysic sympathy
Then after all that razzmatazz and intuitive jazz
I will start a blazing wonder with an appetizing aftermath.
Raise up and touch the sky in ecstasy, God's calling.
Raise up till your reach the golden tapestry, stop falling.
Mankind feel the soul within you quest to find an answer
Gesture through the window feeling the winds blow
There will sing flocks of red-breasted sparrows
Lost about their origin however secure about tomorrows
Like a mummy from an beloved and ancient Pharaoh
Dancing in culmination with his cherished flamingo
To raise up and touch the sky while climbing Jacob's ladder.
Stay tenacious don't expect a wonder
Patience will cure all from the world down under.
I am in freedom's rapture like a new-born child
For this moment has me surely captured
I welcome with thankfulness this wild feeling.
I am springing with every wish so ecstatic
The sumptuous princess has got me reeling
Brought in touch with the heavens above
Now a chamber holds a poet so prolific and electric
Bringing the beauties which I have been thinking of
Hear the whine of a sacred spirit at the break of dawn
No agonizing desolation came through a nightlong
journey through the mysteries toward Nirvana.
Wiping my tears away I smile filled with felicity
I am a carefree soul, I have gained through my simplicity
Raise up, touch the sky through all galaxies in ecstasy
Call out till you receive heaven's kiss so blissfully.
