You know lifes quite like a joke,
You have your punchile and then the actual joke.
I think lifes swinging punchline is,
Self-loathing and confidence walk into a bar.
Self-loathing goes and sits in the corner table.
Confidence goes to the bar and talks with the bartender.
Self-loathing is scrolling on social media consciously for what feels like hours,
Pondering why.
"Why couldn't that be me? "
"Why am I not good enough? "
"Why won't they ever like me? "
Self-loathing always wonders why.
Meanwhile, confidence is talking.
Confidence is telling their stories.
Confidence is bright.
Confidence is loved.
Confidence is adored.
Confidence is what everyone wants to be.
Life's punchline is like a sister and brother walking into their fathers house.
Sister goes and sits on the worn out couch.
Brother walks over and talks to dad.
He's loved.
He's adored.
He's bright adored
He's what sister wants to be.
Sister sits wondering where she went wrong?
Where she messed up and if it is to late to fix it.
She wonders if her father still truly loves her like he says he does.
The punchline ends.
The joke comes soon after to mock the brother and sister.
It hurts.
Lifes like a joke.
Mockery and laughter fill others lungs when they hear of life.
