A Lesson To Be Learned Poem by Michael Franco

A Lesson To Be Learned

Mellow and bleak are my memories
Dark and shadowy
Things I don't want to remember
Feelings of pain and despair
Amidst a cloud of infatuation and lust
So true I thought this was
But realization come with maturity
And mistakes like this won't be made again
For I have learned the true meaning of love
