A Lie Poem by Bob Taub

A Lie

Rating: 3.3

A Lie

Many a heart has been broken
Because of lies by someone spoken
Many of lives have been taken
Because they have been forsaken.

A life has been lost because of the lying
This was the reason for which there is no denying
A misspoken word by a fool that day
Caused a life to be lost that way.

Why one person can be so weak
As not the truth to speak
That person who was so blind
Could have spoken words more kind.

So many ways to find the words
For which we will not be sorry afterwards
Just stop and think of what you say
Not to hurt a person that way.

“ A misspoken word today Can hurt someone tomorrow”

I like this poem Bob. Truer words were never spoken. Life changing decisions are sometimes made based on lies told by someone we trust.
