A Light That Saves From Sloughs Poem by CHRISTOPHER EBENEZER

A Light That Saves From Sloughs

I will tell you of a land
The darkest ever land
The hanging airy smell
Is non you've ever smelt
The people there within
Are clothed all in black
A uniform it is
For all that are condemned
They walk around in chains
Controlled by tyranny
The blind do lead the blind
In this one queer land
All around are sloughs and pits
To keep them all at hand
The sloughs have all got names
What woeful land you'd say
A slough, they call world war
One, they call disease
Yet another they call lust
They've all got dreadful names
Like cult, murder and bribe
Some get followed by chains
From whence pit they have come
Then came amongst them all
A light to show them through
A new path had been found
That once hidden it was
But guess what they would do
They loved their dark old paths
Oh! Jesus they don't know
You've come to give them light
A light that leads to life
That saves them from the sloughs
And chains that keep them bound.

That's nice and good chris, its all reality of whats going on! What we need to do aint waitin' for Jesus but to act upon each action. There comes a way my friend, rotten and dirtned everthing! Oh! Lord help us fight it!
