A Light To Shine My Path Poem by Jessie Lima

I have yet to know love,
But fear I know well...
I hide within my books and things
While walking on eggshells.
There's part of me
That wants to scream;
There's part of me
That wants to cry;
But i'm not always sad like this.
Saying that would be a lie.
Even with all my friends around me
I feel pretty much alone.
That's why i miss so much,
The place where I came from.
I don't get what's happening to me,
Why do I feel so left out and alone?
I want someone or something to go back to...
A light to shine the path that leads me home.
