Joy - Poem by Jessie Lima

It is a joy to wake up in the morning
And found out that you still there
It wasn't a dream after all
Last night really happened

That's the part of the dream in which,
Normally, I wake up.
You know when you can swear it happened?
It felt so real.

But no, he doesn't belong to me,
we will never be.
But there is so much joy in my heart!
At least in my dreams I can have you,
Hold you,
Protect you.

In my dreams you are only mine.
I am selfish,
I don't share.
I don't care if when I wake up you are with her.

How fake joy is
It plays with me every night.
Today I won't sleep.
I am getting addicted,
Addicted to you.
