A Likely Memory Poem by Bryan Taplits

A Likely Memory

A wonder I marveled at one day
It's stayed and rippled, a ship on my life's sea,
And accompanied me along on my way-and it made me what I wanted to be.
But now that I am aged
I can still recall that I have that burning fierce ember
Yes. I'm still all afire, but as said: No longer wired-
So can't recollect what I stored to remember.
