A Little Bitty Ditty Poem by Elizabeth Sheaffer

A Little Bitty Ditty

Rating: 2.0

The birds flew high above us
As we sat on the shoreline
We waited until dusk
Took off in a straight line

Everyone was heading up
But our fun was just beginning
We started to race toward the cusp
And I was easily winning

We heard a noise off to the right
And we all stopped to hear
The nighttime gave my girl a fright
And that's when she came near

The noise got louder in the dark
We both were getting frightened
My friend came up behind our back
And both our outlooks brightened
