A Little Boy Paddling His Boat In The River - Poem by RIC BASTASA
who had seen the little child paddling a boat
along this old river?
he drifted silently along the river weeds,
picking white lotuses along the way
the water hides his tracks
as duckweed opens him another path.
i was that boy, now, wanting to go back
in that old river.
