A Little Something - Poem by Lance Carthen

You wanted a slow sad song.
One that you could sing along.
You wanted to write a tear jerker.
For the ages to hear.
Decided to write a little song about sadness.
Broken hearts, tears and forgiveness.
I wrote it when I was thinking of you.
It goes...

You know you really touched my heart.
I had love for you from the start.
Why oh why did you have to let me go.
Just know that I dream about you.
Every time I close my eyes.
I think about you.
When Im awake and all alone.
I wish you were still here with me.
Tell me what you think this chorus means.

All day Im wishing you were here.
I wish I could hold you so close.
To comfort our hearts and tears.
All night I cry unto the stars.
I see your beauty in your mind.
Your face is so clear.

Some sad songs are about pain.
Others are about tears.
This one is about a girl that touched my heart forever.
When you kiss your loved one.
I hope the passion lasts.
Never take her love for granted.
Because it can disapear so fast.
