Before you came along
Things couldn't have been much worse
You gave me a little water
I'm no longer dying of thirst

The love you give to me
I know is sincere
I talk to many people
But you're the only one who hears

Before you came along
I thought that I was cursed
You are the reason I can smile
I no longer feel the hurt
To me you are my best friend
Now that you're here
The nice things that you say to me
Replace the bad I've heard for years
