A Lollypop Poem by Aylissa Ramirez

A Lollypop

Rating: 5.0

Oh love when I think of you it feels like gravity is non-existent to my heart. It floats to you at the sight of your smile and flutters at the sound of your laugh. Butterflies riot in my stomach making me nervous of what you think of me. Your show up at my front door; my heart in the air and my stomach in my throat; then you present me with a lollypop. My thoughts fly away with yours as we walk.

Wow, this is like really mushy, but good in a good way, you know? There's no personal connection with me to this piece, but if I was a chick then I would definitely like it. I swear. You have great imagery and the diction and syntax are perfect. You have long sentences that flow really well. Great job with the natural voice. It sounds spoken almost.
